Latest Player News

Jason Taylor, DL - Redskins

Redskins coach Jim Zorn expects DE Jason Taylor (calf) to "participate" Sunday against the Rams. He is listed as probable for Week 6. The most likely scenario would be Taylor playing on only obvious passing downs and he might only be good for 10-15 snaps. It's nice that Taylor has recovered quickly, but IDP owners should wait another week to use him. (Oct. 10, - 2:23 PM CDT)

Marcus Washington, LB - Redskins

The Redskins are expected to be without SLB Marcus Washington (hamstring) and DT Cornelius Griffin (shoulder) in Week 6 against St. Louis. Upgrade Steven Jackson's matchup. The banged-up Skins will probably also be minus starting DE Jason Taylor and SS Reed Doughty. Usually a tough matchup for running backs, Washington doesn't look so stout any longer. (Oct. 09, - 5:36 PM CDT)

Shawn Springs, DB - Redskins

Redskins CB Shawn Springs (calf) is expected to return to the lineup this week. Coach Jim Zorn says Springs could play some safety in Washington's "cobra" package, which incorporates three safeties. With Carlos Rogers slated to cover Torry Holt, Springs may not see much action at cornerback Sunday. (Oct. 09, - 3:53 PM CDT)
