Woman Flagged Down Motorist, Who Called 911

Authorities in Montgomery County are investigating a woman's claim that she was abducted and raped Monday.

The 25-year-old woman told police she was forced into her silver Honda CRV with North Carolina tags by a man armed with a knife at the King Farm Safeway in Rockville. She said she was sexually assaulted and forced to withdraw money from an ATM.

Police believe the rape occurred in Montgomery County.

The woman was then dumped at the Capital Beltway and Central Avenue in Prince George's County, police said, where she flagged down a motorist, who called 911.

Police said they are looking for a bald black male in his early to mid 30s, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds. Police said he was wearing a light-gray sweatshirt, white Nike sneakers, and a light blue and yellow basketball jersey.

The Safeway parking lot where the alleged abduction took place is equipped with security cameras, but police are not saying if those cameras recorded the attack.

If you frequent the King Farm Safeway and think you may have seen something suspicious, police are asking you to contact them.
