Charter School Moves Into New Home

WASHINGTON -- The Thurgood Marshall Academy dedicated it new home Tuesday on Martin Luther King Boulevard in southeast Washington.The public charter school moved into an abandoned school building that had just completed a $14 million renovation that took two years to complete.

The academy offers its students a law-based curriculum as well as academic tutoring and personalized mentoring.School officials said 100 percent of last year's senior class went on to college.
