GAITHERSBURG, Md. -- Authorities said at least one of two notes discovered at the Montgomery Village Middle School, in Montgomery County, Md., contained death threats against 20 students, teachers and administrators and the other note was handwritten.
News4 spoke to one of the targets, a 13-year-old girl but did not reveal her identity. She said she was afraid for her safety and is now afraid to go back to school. "I think about someone coming up behind me and stabbing me," she said.News4 learned that one of the notes listed the 13-year-old's schedule and other personal information.
The targeted 13-year-old girl hasn't attended school since the discovery of the notes last Monday. Her family has lived in Montgomery County for the last 19 years, but now they say they are living in fear.Authorities said they also discovered another death threat scribbled on a wall in a school lavatory, but they don't believe it is connected to the written notes.
