WASHINGTON -- A section of the Capitol is closed on the Senate side because of concerns about asbestos.Asbestos has been linked to cancer. Apparently, some asbestos particles came loose last week while workers were repairing air ducts.A spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said tests over the weekend showed low levels of asbestos in the Senate chamber.
The adjacent party cloakrooms and the Senate press gallery remain closed because of the problem.
