ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Official say a $75,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who killed Nancy Dunning.Dunning was the wife of an Alexandria, Va., sheriff and a successful real estate agent. She was found murdered last Friday, inside her Del Ray home.Police said she had been shot in the upper body.
Investigators have refused comment on whether there were signs of forced entry at the house or if Dunning might have known her attacker.Dunning's friends are hoping the reward fund will encourage people to call in tips.Meanwhile, Dunning's funeral will be held Thursday at the Saint Rita Catholic Church. A wake is scheduled for Wednesday night.
