LANDOVER HILLS, Md. -- Darlene Williamson, a 33-year-old woman from Landover Hills, Md., has been missing since May 20, and police told News4 that she could be in danger.
Prince George's County police said the last known contact with Williamson was on May 20. Police spokesman Cpl. Robert Clark said she made a call about 10 a.m., saying she had left her Landover Hills apartment and was on her way to the bank.
"Mrs. Williamson was on her way to the bank and she was never heard from or seen again," said Cpl. Robert Clark. "This is supposed to be something that's totally out of the norm for Ms. Williamson."
Clark said that investigators grew alarmed when they learned that Williamson's boyfriend, Michael Wayne Sears, 54, was reported missing a day later from his condo on Hanover Parkway in Greenbelt, Md.
Court records show that in 1992, Sears was convicted of killing his wife. The records indicated Sears served nine years in prison and had only recently been released.
Police said he's believed to be driving a 2003 four-door Toyota Camry that's either champagne or golden in color with Maryland tags LGX-901.
Clark said the case is now in the hands of the homicide unit. "This is a normal situation in a case like this where the circumstances may be unusual or strange and a person may be in harms way," Clark said.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Prince George's County Crime Solvers at (301) 735-1111 or the Prince George's County police Homicide Unit at (301) 772-4925.
