MANASSAS, Va. -- Police are investigating a shooting outside a grocery store in Manassas.Responders arrived just after noon on Tuesday at the Global Foods store at 10320 Festival Lane.
A man who had been shot was lying outside the store on the sidewalk, police said. He was taken by helicopter to a local hospital.Investigators said the victim, a Hispanic man, was approached by another Hispanic man. Words were exchanged, and the second man shot the victim, police said.The shooter is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall with chipped front teeth and short, cropped hair. He was wearing blue jeans, white sneakers and an orange baseball hat. He left the scene in a dark SUV, police said.There is no word on the victim's condition.
