5-Year-Old Shoots Self In Arm
Police: Wound Is Not Life-Threatening

WASHINGTON -- A Metropolitan Police Department official said a 5-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the arm early this morning.
The shooting occurred in the 3500 block of Jay Street, NE.
Officers said the boy's injury is not life-threatening, and an investigation is under way to find out how a 5-year-old boy got his hands on a gun.
Authorities said an 11-year-old sibling tried to administer first aid and called for help.
