Man Dies Following Fight At Bar

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. -- A man died following a bar fight at a Fairfax restaurant early Thursday.Officers responded to Milano’s Restaurant at 6961 Hechinger Drive for a possible shot person just before 1 a.m.Police said a 23-year-old Centreville-area man who works as an armed security guard there told them he broke up a fight in the bar and was escorting a man outside when he was jumped by three or four other men.
One man was wielding a knife, and the guard, fearing for his life, said he fired at him, striking the man in the abdomen, police said.The men fled in a van, which police later located in front of 5227 Cather Road in Springfield. Police said the wounded man, who was inside the van, was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he died from his injuries.The victim was identified as Yordy Adaud Salguero Urmeneta, 27, of 5227 Cather Road in Springfield.The security guard suffered non-life-threatening injuries.No charges have been filed.
