Police Say Family Has Been Told Girl's Safety May Be In Jeopardy

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. -- Police are searching for a 16-year-old Burtonsville girl last seen by her family Oct. 31.Shantle Brown is described as a black female, 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds. She has brown eyes and black, shoulder-length hair that she may be wearing pulled back from her face, police said. She wears eyeglasses with thick black frames and has a heart tattoo on her left bicep with the name “Jackie” or “Jacqueline” inside it. She may be wearing an orange bomber jacket.

A 1994 Mercedes four-door sedan, black over gray in color, with Maryland tags 3AWV67 is also missing from her residence. Police do not know if Brown is driving this vehicle.
