Roads, Parking Restricted For Halloween in Georgetown

Parking restrictions and road closures will be in place for Halloween Wednesday in Georgetown.

Visitors to the area are advised to use public transportation to avoid delays.

No-parking restrictions will be in effect along the following routes from midnight Tuesday until 6 a.m. Thursday.

  • South side of K Street Northwest from 30th Street to Wisconsin Avenue Northwest
  • Water Street Northwest from 33rd Street to the Canal Tow Path
  • 1000-1300 blocks of Wisconsin Avenue Northwest
  • M Street Northwest from 25th Street to the Key Bridge
  • 100 block of 26th Street Northwest

The following streets will be closed to through traffic, with some exceptions, according to the District Department of Transportation.

Drivers should present proof of employment or residency to enter closed streets.

  • 1000 block of Cady's Alley Northwest, residents only
  • 1000 block of Thomas Jefferson Street Northwest
  • 1000 block of Grace Street Northwest, residents only
  • 3200 block of Cecil Place Northwest, residents only
  • 900 block 30th Street Northwest, employees only
  • 3100 block of South Street Northwest, employees and residents only
  • 3100 block of Oak Alley Northwest
  • 3100 block of Blues Alley, residents and employees only
