ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Ballston and Virginia Square Metro stations reopened Monday afternoon after an Orange Line train struck and killed a woman Monday morning.Metro said it did not appear that the unidentified woman was an employee. She was struck by a train headed to Vienna at about 9:40 a.m. Police are investigating how she ended up on the tracks.A shuttle bus service was offered from East Falls Church to Clarendon, Metro officials said.
