ABC News' Washington Bureau Briefly Evacuated
Substance Found Not To Be Threat

WASHINGTON -- D.C. authorities said a building housing the Washington bureau of ABC News was briefly evacuated Thursday afternoon because of a suspicious envelope.D.C. Fire and EMS spokesman Alan Etter said a small envelope was found with a white powdery substance. The substance turned out to be aspirin.About 60 to 80 people were evacuated from the downtown Washington building. They were allowed back in just before 1:45 p.m.
Etter said the building was evacuated as a precaution, and no one reported any medical symptoms.
