SILVER SPRING, Md. -- Montgomery County police are searching for victims after charging a man with burglary and finding a variety of stolen property from around the region.Police said an alert neighbor stopped the burglary spree when she saw someone suspicious outside a home in her Silver Spring neighborhood earlier this month. A few minutes later, she saw a window open and close. The neighbor called the homeowner, who said there shouldn't be anyone in his house, police said. The man rushed home and caught the burglar in the act, chasing him down the street, police said. The culprit dropped several stolen items as he ran, police said.
Officers checking the area with dogs arrested Maximillian Robbins Farrow, 30, of no fixed address, a short time later, police said. He was charged with first-degree burglary, theft over $500, resisting arrest and theft of a credit card.During their investigation, detectives found property reported stolen in burglaries in Montgomery County, Arlington and the District, police said.Investigators said they still have property that hasn't been returned and they are searching for additional victims. One item they seized was a digital camera with photographs of a parakeet, a close-up photo of a man and a wider shot photo of a woman in a kitchen. If the parakeet's owner can confirm the photos, police can return the camera -- and perhaps other stolen property.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 301-565-5835.
