WASHINGTON -- Following service delays and cancellations as a result of severe weather in the Northeast on Monday, Amtrak officials said they anticipate operating on a normal schedule on Tuesday.Throughout this evening, some trains along the northeast corridor operations between Washington and Boston and keystone corridor operating from Philadelphia to Harrisburg will continue to be subject to some delays and cancellations, officials said. The delays could also affect passengers in Virginia, officials said.
Under Amtrak's cancellation policy, passengers holding reserved tickets on trains that have been canceled are allowed to board the next available train of the same service without making a ticket exchange. Regional tickets cannot be used on Acela Express trains.Passengers should call 800-USA-RAIL or visit Amtrak's Web site for specific information and train status updates.
