Red Top Unveils Arlington's First Hybrid Taxi

ARLINGTON, Va. -- Arlington County's oldest taxi company is going green.

On Wednesday, Red Top Cab unveiled its first hybrid taxi.

The launch of the low-emission vehicles is part of the county's Fresh AIR campaign to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Arlington's County Board Chairman Paul Ferguson became the first to ride in the new cab.

This fall, the board will consider the application of a new taxi company that plans to use only hybrids.
