Fenty Proposal Would Limit Public Input On Schools Budget

WASHINGTON -- D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty has proposed legislation that would limit public input on the D.C. schools budget until after a proposed budget is released.Many parents said they are upset over the plan.They said by the time they get to weigh in on the budget, it will be too late to have an impact.
The mayor's office said the proposal simply puts the school system on equal footing with other city agencies.
